Charlie (who has only one eye) would thrive in a home with a quiet lifestyle. He'd prefer no children. But, slow walks and lazy naps with company is totally his jam!
Meet Willie! He'll win your heart the first time you see him! He loves affection and belly rubs. This sweet boy is very well behaved and has lots of personality. He will happily sit quietly next to you for hours, yet, he won’t turn down a chance to play with another dog! The only sounds Willie makes is a soft whimper when he wants to go outside and lovely little snoring noises when he sleeps. Willie will be a wonderful addition to your family. He loves walks and enjoys meeting people and other dogs. He has lovely manners and knows basic commands; sit, come, stop, and stay!
Lovely little Lucy will need some extra tender loving care for the next several months. Nearly two years old and just as sweet as can be; and oh, so cute! Lucy will need to be in a quiet home as her heartworm treatment will be starting soon. (UFBH will cover the expenses of her treatments.) She will need to be kept quiet while she goes through her treatments.
Look how good Apollo can snuggle! Just under two years old, this guy is a perfect blend of Basset Hound and Labrador; Bassador or Labasset, depending on where your loyalty lies. Apollo gets along with the dogs in his foster home and would do best in a home with another dog as a playmate. He can be very busy but also loves to cuddle.
Meet Dewey Ray! This little two year old is a love bug! We believe he would be happiest in a home with another dog and definitely a fenced yard. Big aroo's and thank you's to Kudos 2 Canines for helping Dewey Ray with his manners. He's ready to find a Forever Family!
Miss BB came to UFBH from the Midwest when her family could no longer care for her. She's a mellow hound who is not overly impressed with other dogs. She'd really prefer to hang out in the flower bed and perhaps take a snooze. Miss BB's original family told us she enjoyed children but we can not verify this as the foster home does not have any.

This charming young guy is an absolute jewel! Harley's color is beautiful. At a year-and-a-half, he's all about playing and would love to have other dogs to play with in his forever home. When you look him in the eyes, you can see his personality is ALL Basset. They always like doing things best when it's their idea, first! Harley will be a lovely addition to anyone's family.
Miss Kooper absolutely loves playing with the other Hounds in her foster home. She is about four years old and came into our care with a Labrador Retriever, who she’s not bonded with as we had been told. But, she would definitely be happiest in a home with other dogs!
Penny is one of our shy girls. She's very sweet and loves to play with other dogs. Daisy was adopted briefly and warmed right up to the Mom in the home and shortly after, the Dad. However, she was very afraid of their small children and was returned to us. We don't know anything about what she's gone through in her short life but she clearly has had some very unpleasant experiences. A home with another dog to play with is a must but no small children.
